Does Your Motorbike Seat Need An Upgrade?

Find the perfect motorbike seat or seat cover for your bike's brand, model, and year! No matter whether you're repairing or replacing a worn or damaged motocross seat… or you're upgrading your seat cover to match new bike graphics and plastics…

… Here at 24MX, we make it easy to choose the best seat and cover for YOUR bike! Start by using our search tool to ADD YOUR BIKE and find parts that fit. Then review available seat and cover options for your specific bike model. Things to consider when making your choice:

MAXIMUM DURABILITY

Look for seats with a proven track record of standing up in extreme conditions. They should be made of material that can withstand hits, doesn't easily tear, and resists cracking. And should ideally feature reinforced seams and UV protection to increase the product's overall life.

EXCELLENT GRIP

Many stock MX bike seat covers are slippery! Gripper seats help prevent rider fatigue and arm pump when you're riding hard. They help you better grip the bike with your legs and hold your position during seated acceleration. Designs vary but typically feature a combination of pleats, panels, and ribbing.

COMPLETELY WATERPROOF

There's nothing worse than riding with a wet rear. Look for seats and seat covers that are waterproof and can withstand pressure washing.

CUSTOMIZABLE COLOUR & STYLE

Many seats and seat covers come in a variety of colours and styles, making it easy to match your bike graphics or plastics.

LOW PROFILE

Low profile seats make it easier for shorter riders to touch the ground. In comparison, taller riders may find they help lower their overall centre of gravity and keep the bike planted while cornering.

BUDGET

Looking to replace a torn seat cover? If the integrity of your seat foam is still good, replacing the seat cover may be the most economical choice. There are many universal covers available that fit a wide variety of bike seats and come in a rainbow of colours, with instructions for installing.

Remember, when you're replacing your seat or cover, quality matters! If your budget allows, choose quality, so you're not replacing it again in a few months. If you're replacing your seat cover, be sure to leave adequate time for installation. This isn't a replacement you'll complete in a staging area, 15 minutes before your next ride! Prepare for the installation with a flat-blade screwdriver, a pair of pliers, and a staple gun (with quarter-inch staples). And consider asking a buddy to help. The seat cover must be pulled nice and tight over the foam and frame to avoid wrinkles and loose material that can more easily snag and tear.
